Dead Sea .VS. Living Sea

Bare with me on this..hehehe I've been studying the" Dead Sea". Our first reaction is what! Okay we've all heard about this sea. (for the two of you who haven't) The dead sea is the saltiest sea in the world, its ten time more salty then the ocean! Because of it high salt  concentration there are no fish, no plants, no visible signs of life in sight.. Hence the name the dead sea. Biblical this is known by several different names...the killer sea, the sea that never gives, the devils sea. This sea is different from all other seas because it does not release any of its waters, which would lower its salt content. Streams flow into the Dead Sea but nothing flows out. (which is why nothing can exist there). In fact there is so much salt in the Dead Sea that you can't even swim in it, if you lie down in the sea you float effortlessly...the salt holds you up. This whole dead sea kinda freaks me out...but in a good way. It reminds me everyday that I'm called..to give not just receive. We are surrounded by a world that says take. But what if we gave, what if we choose to pour out and leave the dead sea attitude behind us. I imagine the dead sea being a person who keeps being asked to give, to lay their life down but they don't feel like they have enough. (It's the one day when I'm 'able' thinking) we all know that never leads anywhere. We can spend our lives giving them
away or we can hoard our talent, gifting, calling and treasures..*waiting for a better day.
Salt that is sprinkled over food is tasty! It adds
flavor and life, but to much salt ruins the food.  Making it undesirable and dangerous...we all know to much salt can cause high blood pressure which can lead to sickness and death. I want to be more than a taker in this life...I want to love until it hurts, give until there's nothing left, sow until all have received a harvest. I want to live a life striving to pour out...this life is full of lovely comforts that can either bless us and our neighbors or posion us and all who come to us hoping to find the Jesus we claim to serve. Let really focus on giving our lives away.  The word says,"follow me as I follow Christ." This is action statement, it requires a unselfish pouring out.

Around the world and back
Our God will fight for us and we shall hold our peace.

Season's

Then the time has come when the risk it takes to remain tight in a bud is more painful, than the risk it takes for me to blossom...

Wow I am so amazed by his love and goodness! I've been so excited about this season ahead... but lately I've found some nervousness. I am thinking what if I fail horribly...I mean truthful is that even possible? (without lots of hard work). For those who don't know I am going to Master Commission Atlanta in the fall! ahhh I could almost scream. I'm diving into this year with so many expectations, hopes, and dreams... One big one is that I come out with a higher sense of value! and love and trust of people.
As a believer we are called to love the people of this world... but how can we effectively do that If were not loving the people across the street? Gods word says, “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” John 13: 34-35. But even to understand this we then have to ask ourselves what is love? Not the fluffy one that "most often time" lives within our hearts. 1Corinthians 13 says, Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
Ok so I've read that just as many times as you...but yet I still find myself failing, maybe its because we have not effectively broken down what these verses are in fact saying. We have not applied them in a personal way. Its way to easy for me to discount a verse or two depending on present circumstances. As I write the holy spirit is reminding me that I've just chosen not to except certain conditions to love. While this commandment seems simple, and many would say that it is. The numbers don't lie.
First Marriage 50% marriages end in divorce Second Marriage 67% marriages end in divorce
Third Marriage 73% marriages end in divorce..hmm but we've got this loving thing down! Oh by the way these are christian statistics. (if your thinking what I'm thinking your wondering how in the world are their even statistics on second and third marriages...if in fact christian are only supposed to be married ONCE.) Answer we except Jesus but not the cross... STOP they're a pair. You can't divide them. Ha! that's like expecting a prescription without seeing the doctor..um not gonna happen.
I'm going to spend some time praying about and researching love... I will blog about my finding!

I will find you. No matter how long it takes, no matter how far you go I will find you. - The Father Heart...
